I think that it’s a little unfortunate that blogging has basically been replaced with Instagram. With our seemingly ever-decreasing attention spans as humans, I do enjoy a quick and clever quip beneath a fun but often filtered photo as much as the next person, but I’ll always like getting a more full-picture of someone’s goings-on, and peoples’ inner thoughts put into words are fascinating to me. I always used to read peoples’ blogs, and part of why I’m resurrecting this one is because John…

The notion of completing the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, a footpath that runs mostly west and east across North Carolina, but also has a good bit of north and south travel, has been an ineradicable thought of mine for several years. The Planned Off-Site St.Patty's Day Run at BRC is CANCELLED. There is NO JQRC run on the 17th.
This was not an easy decision but since it was already an off-site it was easier to decide. The run on the 24th is still on at the Pub but that could change. The club is working with JQ Pub leadership to decide on a plan. There is a possibility that the sign-in process could be modified to keep everyone safe.

** JQRC elections are Monday, Feb 17th @ 5:30pm at Jack Quinn's Irish Pub. Talk with any Green Shirt on how you too can help us run our club.
** Beer prices will go up starting this week to $3.50 for the runners. This modest increase is due to a new minimum wage, the cost of ingredients to the manufacturers and an increase in aluminum cost.
** JQRC needs volunteers for our aid station at the Super Half-Marathon and Game Day 5K February 2nd. See any Green Shirt for…
