___________________________________________________________________________

___________________________________________________________________________

14.  MY FIRST BOSTON MARATHON-- MONDAY- APRIL 15, 2019-- PATRIOTS DAY--  !!

I WAS SICK THE WHOLE WEEK BEFORE REALLY BAD-- STARTING FROM THE XTERRA 24K FROM APRIL 7TH--    UNFORTUNATELY NOT FEELING GOOD AT ALL -- ESPECIALLY MY LUNGS--   AND BAD CONGESTION----   I HAD A FEW GOOD MARATHON TRAINING WEEKS SO I WAS READY TO ROCK AND ROLL BEFORE I GOT SICK--   of course I am a trail racer at heart but I am getting myself back out there on the roadracing scene also !!

Despite not feeling well,  I looked damm good, my hair looked good,  had my Greater Boston ( Bill Rogers - Greater Boston running club vintage tank from the 70's) tank top on , my Oregon project black shorts and my matching red socks--

the roaring crowd yelled out at me along the entire course-- "go Greater Boston"

I did not feel good from about the 10k on--  firstly,   I got jammed up and boxed in the crowd from the start as I was in wave 2-- I did not know how to react to this because I had never ever been in a start like this before in a further back wave--- it took me a while to bounce back from this and get in the zone by the time I started going I was not feeling good at all.     I was trained pretty good, and my experts and trainers finally concluded that  it was the flu that impacted the performance--   my legs were fine the next day--   so we concluded that I DID NOT EVEN TAP INTO MY CURRENT FITNESS THAT I HAD  !!!    THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT CONCLUSION.

I enjoyed the amazing experience---   the Wesley Boston college girls wanted me to stop and kiss them all but I kept running by ----    I kept pushing on slowly but surely---   I crossed the finish line --

Despite being the coolest, sexiest, the most deserving,  and the most electrifying road racer and mountain runner present that day-----  I fell back-- BUT I DID NOT FAIL  !!!     I will be remembered here in Boston --   but still--  some will not give a shit that you placed 14,136th overall out of 30,000 ish-- and there is no fame or race highlights with those stats of course----- in general-- no one gives a shit about a middle of the packer---   only the best--  only the top overall--- the top masters--- and the top division winners----I am worthy of a better placement and better honors than my performance showed.    But I made some cool things happen there; created memories; created intention and attraction of my desires with the universe !!!!!!

*Thank you too all of my Coaches, my Queen K,  family,  and my friends for following me and tracking me (with my bib number) on April 15th at Boston Marathon--    glad you had fun tracking me on that 26.2 mile journey to the finish line !!!!

*  Getting over my sickness and back to training--

GREAT RACERS THINK ALIKE--

BILL ROGERS ON THE LEFT-- 4 TIME BOSTON WINNER.

GOOD PERFORMANCE IN FORT COLLINS-- Starting in the canyon-- a gentle decline for about 3 miles - flaten out into town and wind through roads - we get one hill in the middle-- and then back down onto some bike paths winding through town and then some undulating sidewalk paths and finish at Washington Park this year.  It was a cool start and a little hot at the end.

26.  JUNE 22, 2019-- SLACKER HALF MARATHON--

*5th OVERALL-- 1ST MASTER--- 1ST 45-49---- 1:18:01---  about 5:57 miles.

Course:   Although this is advertised as a downhill course---We are still starting at 10,000 feet and there are a few hills along the way and some flat spots that you have to work through.  But you do get some nice gentle downhill stretches that if your prepared for the downhill, you can use this to have a great race and pick up the tempo.    Which I did,    in fact-- in mile 2 what I did to the 5 person crowd I was hanging with for a while was I left them in the dust on a gentle downhill and picked up the pace and challenged them and took the lead for a good mile until 4 of them caught back up to me.    I got passed by one more guy, but then I passed another guy ultimately finishing up in 5th and having one of my faster half marathons I have had in a while so overall--- a good performance here today.

35.

35. SATURDAY-AUGUST 17TH- ED SNELL 10K-- FAIRPLAY TO ALMA, CO--
* A very small race, literally about 15 runners-- not a championship, nothing prestigious or glamorous, no prize money or anything big- not what I would call an A-list event- but the coolest little unknown race ever-- that everyone should do !!!! This year was the 39th annual race. Barbeque after and even some beer available after the race. Its a point to point 10k that runs alongside the highway on a paved sidewalk and asphalt bike path that gently climbs approximately 400 feet from Fairplay to the finish in the town of Alma starting just under 10,000 feet and ending approximately 10,400 feet. A good training run for Pikes Peak weekend next weekend.

*2nd overall- 3rd place tried to make a surge on me in the last mile- I held off third place with a strong last half mile into Alma on the uphill finish.

37. SUNDAY- AUGUST 25, 2019-- PIKES PEAK MARATHON--
* 5:07:08-- 50th overall finish-- 43rd male. 11:43 pace. I had a good climb to the summit even with back pain going up after barr camp- my back muscles were tightening up and painful until the top. I had a lot of people beat and most of the masters beat until about timberline. Hung in steady on the downhill as it was getting really hot and humid going down. Lost a couple more masters places going down.
*Finished up 6th master overall- so not in top 5 masters but won my second award for the weekend for the first time in the double as 1st place 45-49.

41. SUNDAY- SEPTEMBER 22, 2019-- XTERRA CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK-- 24K-- HOT AND SUNNY--
* I WON THE RACE !!! The results will show me as 2nd overall- we should have made a left shortly after the start in the race-- the leader at that time in the first 20 yards took us out straight where we should have made a proper left turn- therefore me and about ten others went out approximately an extra mile after we realized we went the wrong way-- we back tracked and got on course and I raced the correct entire course the rest of the way-- the guy that was given the win made the left turn correctly, but I was informed by several people that this guy did not do a loop on the upper talon on the first loop and was not seen at key points by anybody even though it was claimed he had run even further on a wrong turn later in the race. But the checkpoints saw me and said I was in first. I guess he stayed ahead of me still somehow. It appeared I had caught everyone and moved into first. Nothing majorly lost, no money or prize quality lost, no championships at stake in this one. Got XTERRA points for 2nd overall.
*This XTERRA race kicks off the 2020 XTERRA season.

42. SATURDAY-SEPTEMBER 28, 2019-- THE COLORADO SPRINGS HALF MARATHON-- 5th OVERALL-- 1ST PLACE DIVISION WIN IN THE 45-49-- 1:23:42-- 6:23 PACE--
New course this year-- starting downtown- made our way to the Santa Fe Trail and out North to the turnaround at Austin Bluffs at the Pond-- and back South into downtown-- I lost a little time with some confusion with an arrow back at America the beautiful park- some of us went a little further strait as there was an arrow pointing straight instead of indicating that we should have turned the same way we went out. I corrected myself and finished strong in. No places lost- just a little bit of time so I ran faster than a 1:23. I was still well ahead of 6th place when I made the wrong turn.

THIS WAS AN ALL OUT WAR-- NOT A SECOND TO REST-- OUT OF THE GATES ON FIRE-- I had first Master overall until about 4.5 to 5 miles and was barely overtaken by 17 seconds-- I battled it out with two Kenyan sisters and finally broke them-- got some redemption and took out Ashley Brasovan-- and layed the smackdown on many others- I held my own.

57. SUNDAY- DECEMBER 1, 2019-- RUDOLPH RAMBLE- 5K- RUN DENVER SERIES- 1ST OVERALL RUDOLPH RAMBLE 2019 CHAMPION !!! DENVER CITY PARK- ON ANOTHER COOL, SUNNY MORNING AND A VERY ICY AND PATCHY ROAD COURSE IN CITY PARK IN DENVER. 18:41 chip time-- GOT A PLUSH PAIR OF RUDOLPH SLIPPERS FOR THE QUEEN.

This wasn't a championship race or prize money race but I still beat the Denver locals and won out of 6,000 plus entrants. This is race one out of the Denver race series. A small easy win to supplement the big performances I am sitting on finishing up the year.

58. SUNDAY- DECEMBER 8, 2019-- PUEBLO, ROCK CANYON HALF MARATHON-- 1:21:37- 6TH OVERALL-- 1st MASTER AWARD. MASTER AWARD TROPHY AND $50 DOLLAR GIFT CARD.
*Same course as in previous years- out and back to the Pueblo Dam from the City park. Mostly flat with a few gentle inclines and declines and 1 short hill going back into the City Park for the finish- mostly concrete with a few miles on a wagon trail dirt path by the Dam.

This is a bigger race with deeper competition- again, not a huge championship race or prize money but this one has deeper competition in the top 10 and about 600 racers. So this one I would say I am sitting on a good performance in Pueblo at a B level race.

END OF THE RACING SEASON FOR 2019 BABY !!!!!!!!!
