I have completed a series of (3) gel cushioning injections last year in October in my left knee.
I completed left shoulder surgery on December 17, 2020- this was to fix an injury I sustained when I fell and hit my shoulder on a boulder in the Pikes Peak Marathon in 2017; I finished the marathon; I decided to finally take care of this; my surgeon fixed a S.L.A.P tear in my shoulder and reattached my bicep. I have been doing physical therapy from December to March 10, 2021- my left shoulder is doing fantastic !!!
March 2021-- I am back on the trails and hitting specific strength training routines. No racing yet. No lactates yet; long runs; or hard workouts--to be started soon. GETTING READY FOR THE BIG CHAMPIONSHIP USA AND USA TRACK AND FIELD EVENTS COMING SOON.
Continuing-- rehab on shoulder; strengthening legs and quads; proper training form for propulsion; proper nutrition and a new diet; knee correction; subliminal training; proper law of attraction; correct stretching principles and microfiber reduction.
I have officially stopped consuming any kind of animal products- to include no meat, no dairy of any kind, no egg yolks. Chicken is just as bad as beef and pork. Salmon and any other fish is also just as bad and contains many toxins and inflammatories- to include heme iron which you want to avoid. I have studied the science and effects of this not only on us but how bad it also effects our environment- and I officially declare myself as a PLANT BASED ATHLETE !!! I will have egg whites- especially for a recovery meal but only limited as egg whites are also toxic in large amounts. I only like to take vegan protein, not protein from dairy. I only drink high quality beer and micro-brews and I am trying to also drink gluten free beers when I can as well !! Besides outside environmental toxins--You get 90% of all toxins in your body by consuming any animal product and dairy!! And the largest producer of all pollution, land usage, land waste, water waste and usage, and water pollution and toxins is caused by livestock and livestock and agricultural and farm raising !!
For many, many, years-- I ate all the wrong things, I was raised on a lot of the wrong eating habits from childhood-- but at that time- my parents didn't know any better and was not educated on proper elite athlete diet and training when I was being raised; and even in my 20's and 30's, I wasn't doing everything right, even though I had a broad range of knowledge in athletics and nutrition -- but still, you can change now and change your future now!!
BUT I DO WANT TO EMPHASIZE, that even though my diet was not elite and perfect in childhood and growing up-- my father had a huge positive athletic impact on me growing up as he demanded excellence in everything I did- especially when it came too sports-- he was hard on me-- he wanted me to make it big in sports and make money, he taught me that you need to be the best, he pushed me hard to be the best, I was an excellent baseball player, champion soccer player, champion wrestler, state champion swimmer, duathlete and triathlete, awesome martial arts fighter- I could kick any ones ass if I wanted too. He taught me a winning attitude. He taught me that you don't want to be the boring average joe in the stands watching the pro athlete make millions-- No one gives a shit about a boring average joe-- You want to be the elite athlete on field making your fame and fortune and getting noticed-- not the average guy watching from the stands !!!!.
If Connor Mcregor or Mayweather would give me a chance to fight them now in 2021, I would take the fight !!!!!!!!
Remember, you have to do all this the right way-- not all vegetables and fruits are good for you; and you have to stay away from anything that has wheat. There is a whole long list of do not eat vegetables, fruits, and nuts which contain harmful inflammatory lectines and purines.
It amazes me how many athletes that think they have a healthy diet, but are doing it all wrong, and eating the wrong things !!!!
I am available to anyone or any media network that would like to interview me on this to share my story and performance enhancement on a vegan diet !!

RACE #1-- MARCH 13, 2021-- 5K ON ST PATS DAY- GRAND PRIX OF RUNNING-- COLD AND SNOWY- NEW COURSE STARTING AND ENDING AT THE NEW OLYMPIC MUSEUM DOWNTOWN COLORADO SPRINGS- MIX OF HARD PACKED GRAVEL AND ROAD- MOSTLY FLAT; ABOUT 400 ENTRANTS; NOT A HUGE RACE; NO CHAMPIONSHIP OR PRIZE MONEY; THIS WAS JUST A KICK OFF RACE TO THE 2021 RACING YEAR FOR ME- AS I AM GETTING MYSELF BACK INTO TRAINING AFTER SHOULDER SURGURY AND LACK OF RACING AND HIGH QUALITY TRAINING IN 2020; I AM BEHIND OF WHERE I AM USUALLY EVEN AT THIS POINT IN THE YEAR. 6TH OVERALL MALE- 21:07. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
TRAINING--- ALTHOUGH THERE WAS ALMOST NOTHING AT STAKE LAST YEAR FOR TRAINING AND RACING-- I AM BEHIND ON MY USUAL TRAINING AND CONDITIONING CYCLE AT THIS TIME. THE PANDEMIC, RACE CANCELLATIONS, AND ME DEALING WITH MY LEFT KNEE AND LEFT SHOULDER SURGURY KEPT MY RACING IN 2020 TO JUST UNDER 10 TOTAL RACES FOR 2020. I ALSO COMPLETED A LOT OF THERAPY, EXERCISES, STRETCHING, MASSAGE, SUBLIMINAL TRAINING, ADVANCED NUTRITION, AND VISUALIZATION TO HELP PREVENT TOTAL TRAINING DETERIORATION.
WITH THE LACK OF COMPETITONS LAST YEAR, I JUST DIDNT TRAIN LIKE I USUALLY WOULD, YOU CAN LOSE SOME OF YOUR SHARPNESS-- MANY UFC FIGHTERS HAVE STATED THEY LOST THEIR SHARPNESS LAST YEAR BECAUSE THEY BASICALLY WENT THE ENTIRE YEAR WITH OUT FIGHTING FOR EXAMPLE.
LIKE I SAID ABOVE- I AM GETTING READY FOR AND FOCUSING ON THE BIG CHAMPIONSHIP RACES COMING UP THIS YEAR
I HAVE THE EYE OF THE TIGER COMING BACK. THE BEST EVER !!!!

* Alright, I love watching UFC and boxing of course as many of you know- I have been following Jake Paul- I love his attitude, personality, and controversy, reminds me of me !!!! I would love to get an exhibition boxing match with him, it would be electrifying !!!!!!!! I would race and also train to box Jake Paul !!! A world class runner vs. Jake Paul !!! I know he is looking for some good competition but you never know what could happen !!! I would need some help and some star power to try and make this happen at all. Let me know if anyone has some contacts too.
I have contacted JOE ROGAN for an interview on the "JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE" PODCAST.

RACE #8-- SUNDAY- JUNE 13, 2021---GARDEN OF THE GODS 10 MILE RUN- 1ST LEG OF THE GARDEN TO PEAK CHALLENGE !!

SAME COURSE AS PREVIOUS YEARS FINISHING AT ROCK LEDGE RANCH.
THIS WAS AN A LEVEL RACE. COMPETITIVE; 1ST LEG OF THE SERIES; PRIZE MONEY.
FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR I WAS NOT SORE AFTER AND THERE WAS NO PAIN IN MY LEGS. EXCEPT FOR SOME BLISTER SPOTS ON MY FEET I AM ADAPTING BACK TO AGAIN.
YOUR SYSTEM AND BODY INCLUDING NAILS AND SKIN HAVE TO ACCLIMATE AND RE-ADAPT TO TRAINING AND RACING AGAIN. STILL ADAPTING TO HARD RACING. STILL BUILDING MILES UP AND ENDURANCE AND STRENGHTH. THIS WAS MY SECOND COMPETITIVE TEN MILE IN A YEAR IN A HALF.

______________________________________________________________________________________
RACE #9-- SATURDAY JUNE 19, 2021-- THE SUMMER SOLSTICE 10K-- 2ND LEG OF THE VAIL SERIES-- Beaver Creek-
* 4TH PLACE 40-49- 48:12-- long uphill climbing and long rolling downhills-- better position placing than the boneyard boogie in the first vail race. I felt better, stronger, and performed well on the climbing of the switchbacks-- I could tell the difference even from last weekend at the Garden of the Gods 10 mile-- I just felt so much better. The trail felt easier, the hills felt easier and my effort was easier and smoother. I missed a division award by one place. It was very hot, dry, and sunny.

RACE #10-- SATURDAY- JUNE 26, 2021-- BEARS EARS 30K- 19 MILES-- MONTICELLO, UTAH-- (MAD MOOSE RACE)-
THIS IS THE LONGEST RACE/RUN I HAVE DONE IN SINCE 2019-- I TOOK 3RD OVERALL. 2:49.
I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE DISTANCE AT FIRST- BUT I PREPARED MY FEET PROPERLY TO PROTECT MY HOTSPOTS AND MY LEGS WERE FINE AND I FINISHED THE RACE. MY CLIMBING WAS GREAT AND THAT IS WHERE I CAUGHT 68 RACERS TO MOVE INTO 3RD. NOT AN A LEVEL RACE AND I DID NOT GO ALL OUT IN THE FIRST 5 MILES, BUT I PICKED IT UP ON THE CLIMBING ABOUT 5 MILES INTO THE RACE AND PACED MY SELF, NO CHAMPIONSHIPS OR PRIZE MONEY. THEY ONLY GAVE OUT A 1ST OVERALL AWARD. Again, I was not sore after or the day after and my system felt fine as I am acclimating and adapting to training and racing again.
the course was basically- rolling hills and a gentle climb for the first 5 miles on a dirt road and then to a gently climbing paved road-- then the fun began-- we then got onto a single track trail and began a 6 mile climb to 10,600 feet after starting out at about 6,000 feet. After reaching the top, we dropped down on single track trails to a rolling trail and finally a wider wagon trail downhill to the paved road and back on the rolling dirt road to the finish. THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL RUN, EVERYTHING WAS VERY GREEN. It did warm up later but the temps were not terribly hot to start with some light cloud cover and it was even breezy and cooler when we were up at 10,600 feet.

RACE #11-- SATURDAY-JULY 3, 2021-- THE VAIL HILL CLIMB-- VAIL, COLORADO-- 7.7 miles-- THE 3RD RACE IN THE DYNAFIT VAIL RACE SERIES--
20th overall-- 1:03 ---- 3rd place division win- 40-49--
this was a competitive field- the vail hill climb is the series main event- their signature race.
The course was approximately a 7.7 mile climb on the service ski road up to the mid vail gondola at 10,500 feet. the average grade was about 5.5 percent grade but had some steeper areas as well as a couple gentle short downhill and flat stretches- but a grind to the top. What was important here was I had a descent performance in a bigger competitive race. I won a dynafit insulated water bottle for my 3rd place podium but most importantly I beat guys and females that have been beating me in the other two races- so I am moving up, getting better, getting sharper and of course this was more my type of climbing course, I took out a lot of racers (both male and female) on the way up.

SATURDAY-- JULY 17, 2021-- RAN THE DYNAFIT VAIL SERIES- 10K AT 10,000 FEET-- DID NOT GO HARD IN RACE MODE- JUST USED IT AS A PRE RACE RUN FOR THE BARR TRAIL MOUNTAIN RACE-- SO NOT COUNTING THIS AS A COMPETITION
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RACE # 12--SUNDAY- JULY 18, 2021-- BARR TRAIL MOUNTAIN RACE-- RESULTS AND SPLITS ATTACHED:
BESIDES THE GARDEN OF THE GODS 10 MILE AND THE VAIL HILL CLIMB- THIS WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST RACES OF THE YEAR-- BACK TO SOME GOOD COMPETITION- BIGGER LOCAL RACE- CONSIDERING I WAS ONLY DOING 10 MINUTES OF CLIMBING A DAY JUST A FEW SHORT MONTHS AGO AS MY DAILY WORKOUT-- I HAVE COME ALONG WAY !!!

RACE #14- SATURDAY JULY 31, 2021-- THE BERRY PICKER- 4.6 MILE- VAIL COLORADO- THE DYNAFIT VAIL SERIES--
50:31 - 2nd place 4-49 award - 4.6 mile from vail to mid vail up the berry picker trail at an average of 13% grade. the last half mile was a relatively flat cross over with a short downhill finish on a service road. I performed well beating jabronee after jabronee on the climb up with a good short downhill finish.
There were no cash prizes and this was not a championship race but was competitive with a good field from the surrounding areas and it was important to get points for the series. I will miss the last two Dynafit races in this series due to other race conflicts but I have completed enough races to be in the series for my cumulative points.

RACE #18- SEPTEMBER 11, 2021-- 17.1 MILES FROM OURAY TO TELLURIDE-- 18TH OVERALL-- 2:53:48-- 1ST PLACE 50-54.
I HIT THE SUMMIT AT 10 MILES IN 1:58:25- 10:09 AVERAGE PACE.
* COURSE WAS 10 MILES UP TO THE SUMMIT AT 13,000 FEET AND 7 MILES DOWN A VERY CRUDE AND ROCKY DOWNHILL. MY CLIMB WAS VERY GOOD-I PICKED OFF SEVERAL JABRONEES GOING UP. I LOST PLACES AND TIME COMING DOWN. THERE ARE SOME RUNABLE AREAS WHERE YOU CAN PICK UP THE PACE AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE OF MILES DOWN, BUT STRUGGLED IN THE ROCKY AREAS WHERE I WAS TRYING TO BE CAREFUL WITH MY ANKLES. IT WAS GETTING HOT COMING DOWN AND I CAME BACK WITH A SPRINT IN TO THE FINISH TO BREAK A TIE TO TAKE 18TH MALE OVERALL.
* THIS WAS MY FIRST RACE AND FIRST AWARD WIN IN MY NEW AGE DIVISION.
NOW SITTING ON ANOTHER BIG MOUNTAIN RACE, ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT ANY KIND OF A CHAMPIONSHIP RACE OR MONEY RACE, THIS IS MY 3RD LONG RACE IN A ROW IN TWO WEEKS AFTER DOING THE DOUBLE AT PIKES PEAK, AND IT IS A HUGE TOUGH, CHALLENGING LOCAL RACE IN OURAY THAT SELLS OUT IN 20 MINUTES AFTER IT OPENS WITH A FIELD OF 1,200 RACERS WITH SOME GOOD COMPETITION IN THE TOP FIELD-- AND WE CLIMB OVER A 13,000 FOOT SUMMIT AND COME DOWN A STEEP ROCKY 7 MILE DESCENT. PLUS ALSO SITTING ON RACING EVERY WEEKEND IN AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER WITH BARR TRAIL MOUNTAIN RACE, CLASSIC 10K, THE VAIL SERIES RACE 4 MILE STRAIGHT UP THE SKI SLOPE AND DOING THE BIG USA MOUNTAIN CHAMPIONSHIPS 10K IN OREGON ALL WITHIN WEEKS NOW OF EACHOTHER.

About Bears Ears Ultra
Introducing Golden Bears Ears Ultra, the autumn edition of one of the most beautiful courses on the Mad Moose schedule! This 55K, 30K event is hosted in the quiet Abajo Mountains, overlooking Canyonlands National Park and the Bears Ears National Monument. You can even catch views of Monument Valley and the Bears Ears Buttes! Topping out at almost 11000 ft, runners will have wide open views of Southeastern Utah’s canyon country. The course travels through aspen groves on smooth singletrack for sometime, but also contains some very technical trails to keep things interesting. The aspen groves in fall will be spectacular!

RACE #25-- SATURDAY- OCTOBER 23, 2021-- THE BOBCAT 25K TRAIL RACE-- PALMER PARK--
THIS IS THE USA TRACK AND FIELD 25K TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND IT IS PART OF THE ONGOING USA TRACK AND FIELD LONG DISTANCE SERIES.
15.4 MILES THROUGH PALMER PARK TECHNICAL TRAILS--2000 feet of total elevation gain.
2ND MASTER OVERALL USATF PRIZE MONEY AWARD- $50.00.
1ST PLACE USATF MEDAL AWARD.
Note: there was an issue with a Palmer Park resident pullin the blue course flags off the course at around 10 miles up on the bluff which caused me and the other top ten guys and the top 2 females to have to stop and make sure we were on the right course including Joe Gray which caused him to take 3rd and caused me to lose some time at that point. But we stayed on course and continued to race it out.
It was quite a great battle between me and Tabor Hemming (the second female overall) and also in a battle with the 1st female-Allison Baca.

RACE #28-- WINE AND DINE HALF MARATHON- SUNDAY- OCTOBER 7TH--
Sitting on another big double weekend of racing out of State- in Florida-- in two more big competitive races-- We were not in New York for the New York Marathon this weekend but we were representing Colorado very well -- this is a big race weekend for Disney at Epcot. But I will be competing in Boston this coming April of 2022 now that it is back in Boston. I have sent my application out already with my qualifier !!
I am maintaining a great training and racing cycle and rate that many racers don't do or are unable to do.

RACE #29- SUNDAY NOVEMBER14-- HORSETOOTH HALF MARATHON--
BIG RACE- IT WAS THE USA TRACK AND FIELD ROAD HALF MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS YEAR-- PRIZE MONEY, AWARDS, AND GREAT COMPETITON IN MALE AND FEMALE--
I WON $50 BUCKS IN PRIZE MONEY - 1ST PLACE USATF 50-54; 2ND PLACE OVERALL MASTER FOR USATF PRIZE MONEY AND SILVER MEDAL AWARD.
COURSE: ALL ROAD COURSE-- THIS COURSE YOU HAVE TO RACE IT RIGHT AND USE SOME STRATEGY AS YOU GET A 500 FOOT CLIMB IN THE FIRST MILE- THEN YOU HAVE 3 MORE CLIMBS IN THE FIRST 4 MILES WITH SOME STEEP DOWNHILLS YOU HAVE TO MANAGE ALSO SO YOU DONT TRASH YOUR SELF GOING DOWN EITHER IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE RACE-- EVEN THOUGH IT IS A NET DOWNHILL DROP IN THE RACE YOU STILL GET ONE MORE BIG CLIMB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RACE AND THEN YOU FLATEN OUT TO THE FINISH WITH THE LAST FEW MILES ON A CURVING SIDEWALK PATH.
I RAN A GOOD SMART RACE AND HAD A GOOD FAST LAST 5K PASSING JABRONEES LEFT AND RIGHT AND TOOK OUT A FEW MORE FEMALES AND CAUGHT SOME MASTERS COMPETITION BEFORE A GREAT KICK IN TO THE FINISH. ANOTHER BIG RACE COMPLETED AND RACKED UP MORE POINTS FOR THE USA TRACK AND FIELD SERIES, WHICH CONCLUDES NEXT SATURDAY WITH THE 5K ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE PUMPKIN PIE 5K IN DENVER AT CITY PARK.
*the 3rd hill in the first 4 miles of the course.

RACE #30-- SATURDAY NOVEMBER 20-- THE USA TRACK AND FIELD 5K ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS- THE PUMPKIN PIE 5K, CITY PARK, DENVER -- ANOTHER BIG USA TRACK AND FIELD RACE THIS TIME FOR THE 5K ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR COLORADO. FAST COMPETITION AND PRIZE MONEY. AN A LEVEL RACE AT CITY PARK IN DENVER. THIS IS THE FINAL RACE IN THE COLORADO USA TRACK AND FIELD LONG SERIES.
* MY FINAL STANDINGS FOR THE USA TRACK AND FIELD LONG SERIES IS 2ND PLACE IN THE 50-54-- I SHOULD HAVE WON BUT 1ST PLACE EDGED ME OUT TODAY BARELY AND WHAT CAUSED ME TO LOSE VALUABLE POINTS WAS THAT BECAUSE I DID THE CLASSIC 10K AS A 49 YEAR OLD IN JUNE, THEY PUT THAT RACE IN THE 45-49 BRACKET SO I WAS COMPETING IN TWO DIFFERENT AGE DIVISIONS BECAUSE I HAD A BIRTHDAY DURING THE SERIES.
I RECIEVED $125.00 BUCKS IN PRIZE MONEY.
This jabronee that barely beat me on points only was doing the shorter stuff , I would have mopped the floor with that jabronee in any of the longer trail races.

RACE #31-- THURSDAY-THANKSGIVING DAY- 11/25/21--- THE BRIARGATE YMCA TURKEY TROT- BRIARGATE YMCA , CO SPGS--
Good annual competitive race, this is a big local race, no prize money and its not any type of a championship and the awards are not great at all-- but this race is a great annual thanksgiving tradition and it does bring a good young competitive crowd. 3 seconds off my Chicago 5k from October and 6 seconds faster than the Pumpkin Pie 5k.
It was cold and overcast with a dry road this year. Same course as previous years- uphill out to the turnaround and downhill and flat back to the finish.
