Share your goals for 2011 and you'll be entered to win a PikesPeakSports.us T-shirt

Decisions, decisions. One of the great things about living in the Pikes Peak Region is the number of truly great events we have. From the Garden of the Gods 10 Mile Run to the Ascent Cycling Series to the ADT Marathon and every 5K and group bike ride in between.

What events are you going to do this year? Have you set any goals? Tell us what you have planned and how you are training (hey, we might learn something). Everyone who comments here will be in a drawing for a PikesPeakSports.us T-shirt. Happy New Year!

So far I have 2 goals for 2011:  to complete the Mount Evans Ascent and the ADT marathon (it will be my 1st marathon).  My plan is to continue twice weekly runs with the Attack Pack and add long runs, including trails on the weekend.

My goal this year is to finish the Leadville 100.

I already signed up so there is no turning back :-)

sub 2 hr half and run a 50k
Break 3:50 at the National Marathon in DC in March.  If not, wait a year to BQ when I age up and get 10 more minutes at least under the current qualifying times.  Also stay injury free this year!
My goal this year is to have fun and do all races that I choose injury free. I also want to complete my 5k in 27:00. Last but not least I cannot wait to get out there and try out trail running and maybe cross courty skiing, meeting some really amazing people along the way!!
Leadville 100 MTB Baby!  (If I can get in)  Plan B is the Barn Burner 100 down in AZ.
I got a book of the top 20 hikes in the COS area and my goal is to do all of those hikes before I get married on July 9th.
To complete the St. Patrick's 5K, which I did; to complete the Bolder Boulder 10K in May, which I'm training for; and to complete the Garden of the Gods 10 Mile in June, which I'm training for as well.  If all goes well, I'd like to run a half-marathon in Denver in October, but I'll play it by ear for now.
Nice goals! I'm really considering the Garden of the Gods 10 mile, but I've never done anything like that before, which scares me a little.

Run Triple Crown w/better results in all 3 races - get a MUCH better time for Denver Rock n Roll Marathon and doing the Las Vegas Rock n Roll Marathon for the 1st time plus my oldest daughter and I are doing the Tough Mudder in June so I want that little excursion to be nothing but fun for she and I....running injury free would be awesome too!
