I remember riding the Incline for a school trip when I was probably in 3rd or 4th grade which would have been in the late 70s. I also remember riding it with my family sometime later. I went through my Mom's old photo albums but couldn't find any photos. My Dad has boxes and boxes of slides which may be where there's some of our family but it could days to locate them. My Mom also gave me a couple postcards that are most likely from the mid 50s but I've misplaced them somewhere.

That's pretty cool, Rob. I was probably one of the last people to ride in an Incline car...that was probably in 1985 or 86...can't remember for sure. I think I climbed it for the first time in 1990. Something like that. Hard to tell, but based on this view of Manitou and Old CC, I'd say late 50s/early 60s.

I found this old postcard of the old Manitou Incline cable car. I'm guessing it's from the 1960s. Anybody else have any other thoughts on when it's from. You can see a little more about it here.

I love watching the sunrise from the incline, it draws me back again and again. This is how I celebrate life, birthdays, holidays and how I will celebrate on Mother's Day again this year

my best time 40 minutes 36 seconds - hope to break 40 sometime this summer!

A group of friends of mine would take their best times and then stagger the starts off of the best time. So if my best was 35 and yours was 40 I would have to start 5 minutes behind you. This puts everyone at the top at the same time.

I cant make the UpaDowna this week but I will make a point to join you guys next week.

I love the incline! Just did it yesterday morning... my best time is 39 minutes last summer, I am hoping to break past that this year and get a new personal best!

The UpaDowna Incline Happy Hour is Thursday nights. There's no set start time but I think most people shoot to be at the top around 6 and then show up around 7 at Kinfolks. I'm always later than that but make it out about half the time.
