Event Description
Run from the floor of the Wet Mountain Valley at 7,989' just outside of Westcliffe to the top of Hermit Pass at 13,060' in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This is a rocky difficult course for seasoned and well trained runners. The Half Hermit goes to 10,350' and is not as rough; the 13 K stays on the Valley floor but still has an elevation gain of 1000'. Beautiful views, no pavement, great support, and good food. A Painted View Ranch is the start and finish, camping and RV electrical hook ups available. Make a weekend of it and attend the Little Black Dress fashion show too. See www.apaintedview.com
