The U.S. Pro Cycling Challenge has announced that it will announce 12 host cities for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
The announcement will be made live on a live Internet broadcast on the race's website.
Organizers have kept their plans quiet as industry insiders have speculated about the 2012 route.
Colorado Springs hosted the prologue time-trial stage on Aug. 22 of this year in the inaugural race.

According to the Denver Post, the following cities have submitted proposals to host a stage: Aspen, Avon, Boulder, Breckenridge, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, Copper Mountain, Crested Butte, Denver, Durango, Golden, Grand Junction, Gunnison, Lakewood, Longmont, Montrose, Ouray, Pagosa Springs, Salida, Steamboat Springs, Telluride, Vail, Winter Park and Woodland Park.
In 2011, the race began in Colorado Springs, then visited Salida, Crested Butte, Gunnison, Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, Golden and Denver.
