Start of the Pikes Peak Road Runners Winters Series IV short-course race
The course conditions were a little slick, but the sun shined brightly and spring was in the air at the the Pikes Peak Road Runners Winters Series finale on Saturday (Feb. 25). This is the start of the short-course series race, a 10K that meandered along the roller-coaster roads in the Black Forest. Logan Wealing and Rochelle Persson captured the overal series short-course titles, caping the series with victories. Wealing hit the finish line in 35 minutes, 51 seconds. Persson crossed in 43:23.
