The Boulder Running Company's Adam Rich and Runner's Roost's Christie Foster, both of Colorado Springs, ran to victory in the Great Pumpkin Races 10K on Saturday at Venetucci Farm in Colorado Springs. Rich finished in 31 minutes, 44 seconds. Foster hit the line in 37:14.
The race was the final in the Grand Prix of Running Series. Foster won the women's long series. Gerald Romero (40, Colorado Springs) who also runs for Runner's Roost, finished second in the 10K and captured his 10th Grand Prix Long Series championship.
In the 5K, 43-year-old Rochelle Persson of Colorado Springs won the women's race in 19:50, while Pat McGuire (29, Colorado Springs) won the men's race in 16:28.
Kat Kiser (38, Colorado Springs) who finished second in the women's 5K, and Jeff Turner (41, Colorado Springs) who placed third, claimed the Grand Prix's Short Series titles.
