Start of the Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race 25K
Nathan Allen of Steamboat Springs won the Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race 25K in 1:46:39. Trent Briney, 24, of Boulder, was second in 1:50:41, followed by Tommy Manning (37, Colorado Springs) in 1:53:03. In the women's race, Brandy Erholtz took the win in 2:09:59, then announced that she is three months pregnant. Connilee Walter, 40, of Colorado Springs, finished second in 2:13:48, while 13-year-old Kayli Tabares placed third.
