Jim Schwerin of Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates talks about the new "Missing Link" trail on Pikes Peak

Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates spokesperson Jim Schwerin took the stage for a few minutes to outline plans for fund raising and construction of the new Missing Link Trail on Pikes Peak. The trail will connect Barr Trail with the Jones Park and Cheyenne Canon area, giving mountain bike riders, hikers and runners the opportunity to complete a huge loop. Schwerin spoke at Stargazers Theatre where a packed house had gathered for a special presentation of the movie "Ride the Divide." The event kicked off the fund raising efforts for the trail, which is expected to cost about $250,000. The trail could be completed by the fall of 2012.
