Ryan Burch wins the Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race 50K
Running in his first-ultra-distance race of 2012, Ryan Burch of Fort Collins held off Jason Koop to win the Cheyenne Mountain Trail Race 50K. No other runner was close as they exchanged the lead several times on the rolling single track at Cheyenne Mountain State Park before Burch pulled away to take the win in 3:57:35. Koop, who had raced 50 miles in Arizona the week before, cruised home in 3:59:04. Mike Hamilton was third in 4:39:21.
