Army Capt. Kelly Calway new when she made it to the top of the first hill in the Garden of the Gods that things were going to be OK in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
"I made it up the first hill and then just kind of burned down the next couple of hills," she said. "And it's always the best finish here because the walkers start late and there is a huge group of people cheering you on. It's so motivating."
Calway won for the second consecutive year. She'll will compete in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in Houston in January.
