Running for her grandmother, Kelly Calway wins Race for The Cure
As she powered up the pesky hills in the Garden of the Gods, Kelly Calway was thinking about her grandmother who is battling cancer. It was inspiration enough to help Calway, of Colorado Springs, win the women's race in Sunday's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Calway, who hopes to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, covered the 5K course in 19 minutes, 19 seconds.
