Laura Haefeli, 45, of Del Norte, Color., talks about winning the Barr Trail Mountain Race. Haefeli covered the 12.5-mile singletrack course in 1 hour, 56 minutes, 55 seconds, setting a new age-group (45-49) record. The race course begins at the Pikes Peak Cog Railway in Manitou, then ascends 3,630 feet to the turnaround at Barr Camp (10,200 ft.) Runner follow the same route back to the finish line near the Barr Trail parking lot.
