Connilee Walter ran in - and won - her first ever ultra-distance race on Saturday at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Walter used the race to help raise funds for the Hanks family which has adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia. Adoption costs are expensive, so Walter wanted to help. She raised more than $2,000 for Amelia and Matthew Hanks, who recently brought their 5-month-old baby boy, Kaleb, home. Walter's winning time was 5:12:54.
