Discovery Canyon Campus math teacher Mark VanderMeer wins on course he designed

Mark Vandermeer won the 6th Annual Thunderstorm 5K at Discovery Canyon Campus on Saturday.
"I work at the school here, so I get the privilege of making the course," he said. "So I know every square inch of it. I had no excuse but to go out there and give a good effort today."
VanderMeer clocked 17 minutes, 11 seconds to take the win.
