Hey Pikes Peak Sports....I'm sharing a request from PPRR looking for volunteers for upcoming events. It's really fun being on the other side of races!!!!!!!!!

Dear world's greatest volunteers,

First, I would like to offer an ultra-marathon-sized thank you to those of you who have already signed up to volunteer for the ADT Marathon over Labor Day weekend. Nearly a hundred of you have already committed your time to this massive event. ADTM is our largest volunteer effort of the year, and it is a very worthy cause, as we share our proceeds with the Trails and Open Space Coalition. 

But we need more ADTM help - yes, probably another 100 volunteers - to properly support this race! We are still in need of race day aid station volunteers and many helpers at the America the Beautiful Park finish area. And we can use a few more helpers at the Saturday packet stuffing and the Sunday race day registration and packet pickup.  

Can you spare some time over the Labor Day weekend?  If yes, please email me at volunteer@pprrun.org and let me know what volunteer assignment appeals to you.

In addition, we are looking for just a few more volunteers for the following:

Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon "Topside" - PPRR handles the timing for these two races. We need just a couple more people at the top of the mountain each day.  These are super fun jobs, as you get to see all of the runners enjoy their accomplishments, but you have to be comfortable spending almost twelve hours at 14,000 feet, regardless of the weather.

Monthly Nielson Challenge - we are looking for 1 or 2 more people who would like to join the timing team for this monthly club event. The current timing crew is a fun bunch, and they would be happy to teach you the portion of timing where help is needed.
