From my good friend Lynne Hall:
Dear world's greatest volunteers,
First, I would like to offer an ultra-marathon-sized thank you to those of you who have already signed up to volunteer for the ADT Marathon over Labor Day weekend. Nearly two hundred of you have already committed your time to this massive event. ADTM is our largest volunteer effort of the year, and it is a very worthy cause, as we share our proceeds with the Trails and Open Space Coalition.
But we need more ADTM help - yes, probably another 20 to 25 volunteers - to properly support this race! We are still in need of volunteers for the following positions on race day Monday, Sept 7:
-The first marathon aid station at Dorchester Park - 3 more
- The relay exchange near the half marathon turn - 2 more
- The food pavilion at America the Beautiful Park - 3 more
- Cyclists to lead-out the half marathon, sweep the half-marathon, and sweep the marathon
- Pacers for the marathon 4:30 and 5:00 hour pace, half marathon 1:30 pace
- People who would like to arrive at the end of the race (around 12:30 pm) to help the tired early-bird volunteers with break-down and clean-up - 6 to 10 more
Can you spare some time on Labor Day? If yes, please email me at volunteer@pprrun.org and let me know what volunteer assignment appeals to you.
Thanks to all for your ongoing support of PPRR and our running community!
Sincerely,
Lynne Hall
