Fountain Valley School math and science teacher Tommy Manning captured the top spot in the Widefield 5-Mile Run Saturday, March 20, at Fountain Creek Regional Park.
Manning, who is training for the Boston Marathon, posted a time of 30 minutes, 26 seconds.
The race was a fundraiser for the Widefield and Mesa Ridge High School track teams. It was also part of Widefield School District 3's Fitness Challenge.
Widefield High School health and physical education teacher Georgann Richardson won the women's race with a time of 41:23.
