Phil Zajicek of Boulder, riding for Fly V australia, made a solo break to win the 63.75-mile Pro/1-2 road race Sunday at the Air Force Academy.
Zajicek broke away on the last of five laps to capture the victory.
The race served as a stop for the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Cycling Conference, with teams from Colorado University, Colorado State University, the University of Wyoming and Fort Lewis College competing.
