Become a bicycling advocate, volunteer for Bike to Work Day breakfast events

If you love riding a bike and want to help make Colorado Springs a city that embraces cycling as part of its culture, please consider volunteering (click here) for the Metro Rides Bike Month + Bike to Work Day events on June 9.

Volunteers are needed at three locations, the Pioneers Museum in downtown Colorado Springs, Salsa Brava at Rockrimmon, 802 Village Center Dr., and Salsa Brava Briargate, 9420 Briar Village Pt Ste 100. Bike to Work Day events include the Mayor’s Ride to Pioneers Museum, Free breakfast and the Corporate Challenge competition.

“We are looking for volunteers that are passionate about cycling and its power in building a more sustainable and community spirited Colorado Springs,” said Melissa Lafontaine, Metro Rides Bike Month Coordinator.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions at Pioneers Museum:

Breakfast set-up, 5 a.m. - Help direct breakfast staff and table set up. Set up stage, balloons, etc.

Mayor’s Ride, 6 a.m. - Ride host and leader.

Floater, 6-9 a.m. - Greet cyclists, and help out wherever needed.

Metro Rides Booth, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Conduct registration, promote upcoming events.

Clean-up, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - Tear down booth, banners, and clean up area for trash/recycling.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions at Salsa Brava Rockrimmon and Briargate

Floater, 6-9 a.m. - Greet cyclists, and help out wherever needed.

Metro Rides Booth, 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Conduct registration, promote upcoming events.

Clean-up, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - Tear down booth, banners, and clean up area for trash/recycling.
