The Paint Mines 6k is a fun event that winds through the incredibly scenic trails of Paint Mines Park. It is a short but challenging course that attracts some of the most accomplished trail runners in the area. Runners and walkers of ALL ages and abilities are invited to participate.

2011 marks the 5th anniversary of this run. The event is put on by the American Trail Running Association, a Colorado-based 501 (c) 3 not for profit corporation founded in 1996, as a fundraiser. ATRA provides a donation to Boy Scout Troop 14 of Calhan who helps with course marking and support on race day. The Colorado Running Company provides the timing and results. Dan Cleveland is the race announcer.

Fee is $20 through June 30, $25 July 1- July 29, and $30 on race day. Registrants will receive a one-day pass to the El Paso County Fair. Please consider making an additional tax deductible contribution to El Paso County Parks and/or ATRA with your entry. Event is a fundraiser for ATR A, a 501 (c ) 3 non-profit organization.

Results provided by The Colorado Running Company. Inov-8 foot wear to the top male and top female overall, prizes to age-group winners, and lot s of great random prizes !

Aid Stations and Course: Entire course is within the Paint Mines Interpretive Park on trails. Refreshments at start/finish and water at 3km. ATRA will make a donation to Boy Scout Troop 14, Cal han, Colo., which will mark the course and helping on race day.
