This fun family event was created to raise awareness and support for the local non-profit organization NAWIC Pikes Peak Chapter 356. The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Pikes Peak Chapter 356 has been involved in the Colorado Springs community since 1996.

 The organization’s core purpose is to “enhance the success of women in the construction industry” and offers many continuing education opportunities for women in the industry. NAWIC Pikes Peak Chapter 356 has been instrumental in supporting trades and construction education in the Colorado Springs area by organizing annual events such as the Block Kids Competition (Grades 1-6) and the CAD Competition (Grades 9-12). As a chapter we serve as volunteers for the annual Colorado Construction Career Days (Grades 11-12).
