This 10-mile run climbs over 1700 ft. in three miles up High Drive from Bear Creek Regional Park to the intersection of upper Gold Camp Road returning to the caretaker’s house at the intersection of High Drive and Gold Camp Road. The race will begin in Bear Creek Park by Pavilion 1 following the regional trail on the north side of the Park to the City’s Bear Creek Canyon Park for a distance of about 1.8 miles and a modest 250-ft elevation gain. The race will then progress along Bear Creek Road to High Drive. The beginning 1.5 miles of High Drive are along a section of Bear Creek that has had extensive sedimentation and trout habitat degradation. At about 6 miles the race will turn around and descend the course.
