Medicine Wheel Trails Advocates inviting trails users to maintenance and repair instructional day

The Medicine Wheel Trails Advocates will be holding a trail maintenance and repair instructional day at Stephanie's Trail (formerly known as Zipline) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (tomorrow) in Bear Creek Canon.

This from Medicine Wheel's Jim Schwerin:

It's been two years since we built Stephanie's and we want to return to see what we can learn about how we did.

Everyone is welcome, but if you worked on this trail, or if you didn't but want to learn more about trail design and construction, you really should come out to learn something new.  We'll be walking the length of the trail, taking notes about what worked and what didn't.  We may also do some small repairs, but the plan is to schedule a full work session in a couple of weeks.

We'll be meeting at the top of the trail, at the large parking lot on Gold Camp Road at 5:30 pm.

Click here for a Google map to find the parking lot.

Please RSVP to jin@mewwheel.org if you plan to attend.

And in case you want to spread the wealth, Cheyenne Mountain State Park is also sponsoring a Trail Weekend to help celebrate Trails in Colorado. Go to friendsofcmsp.org and click on National Trails Day for further details.

Great info Jack, thank you! For many of the riders and racers that use Cheyenne Mountain State Park, this would be a fantastic way of giving back to such a beautiful SP.
