Win free entry into the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's Run to the Shrine races.

Hey all of you fabulous runners!
PikesPeakSports.us and Peak Region Cyclist Magazine have teamed up to offer a drawing for two free entries in the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's Run to the Shrine races on May 21.

Entering is easy! Simply comment below, and then "Like" the Official Peak Region Cyclist Facebook page. (Or if you are already a fan of Peak Region, comment below and you're golden!)

We'll draw the winners in a few weeks!

There will be a 5K and a 10K. They'll have different starting lines, but both will run to the Will Rogers Shrine and then finish in the Zoo.

This race is quickly becoming a favorite of Colorado Springs-area runners. About 600 registered last year and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo marketing director Jean Gordon has set a goal of 1,000 runners this year.

I would like to be entered for the free entry!

I had never heard of Peak Region Cyclist. Wow! Cool stuff. I like it ... so I Liked it. :-)

As for the Run to the Shrine... what, are we all crazy? I did the 10K last year and, except for the scary part of feeling like I was either going to fall off the mountain or see my breakfast again, I loved it. Heck, come to think of it, I even liked that part too. I'm in for 10 again this year. I'd recommend it for all.

I'm looking forward to doing the 10K this year...
One of my favorite races in Colorado Springs!!

I had no idea what I was getting into last year when I registered for the 10k. I had been to the zoo but had no idea where the Shrine was in relation to it. As I was driving there that morning, I kept looking up, and up, and up ... and cursing. Loudly.

Turned out to be a great race! Looking forward to the challenge again this year. ;)

Pick me! :*)
I would like a chance to race my 15 year old up the hill. Even though I would get my butt kicked by her ...again.
This looks like a fun way to enjoy the ZOO, in a sick kind of way, but I am game if the date works with the family schedule.
