A good look at the front runners in the Canya Cañon Run 6K for the Cub Trail Race Sunday, Nov. 6, in Colorado Springs. Pete Maksimow, who blazed across your screen in the first few seconds of the video won with a course-record time of 29:47. Gerald Romero, the 2009 and 2010 winner, was second in 33:54, followed by Brad Poppele in 33:54.
In the women's race, 12-year-old Kayli Tabares pulled ahead of Amanda Ewing in the race's final strides to win in 40 minutes, 40 seconds. Jaclyn Roberson was third in 41:21.
