Racing to a Metro League cross-country title

While winning the Class 5A Metro League cross-country championship was anything but easy, Liberty's Hannah Everson made it look that way. Everson sailed around the 5K course at Fountain-Fort Carson High School in 18 minutes, 47 seconds. The Class 4A champ, Palmer Ridge's Ali Deitsch (in the blue behind Everson), clocked 18:57. Cheyenne Mountain's Danielle Grossman ran home in 19:00 to place second in the Class 4A race.
