Monarch Crest Trail 2

Descending the lower section to Silver Creek off the Colorado Trail - ran out of video space, so stopped short above the rocky, shale portion.

I did this back in the early 90's, it was a great ride, about 1/2 to 2/3rd day. My favorite part was actually early on, when we were near or above treeline, with all the red ground-cover. But its ALL nice, lots of aspens. We continued down the Rainbow Trail to the highway, then down into Poncha Springs where we shuttled back up to Monarch Pass where our cars were parked.

YES! I've never ridden the Monarch Crest Trail. I've got to do it. Great video! Thanks for sharing.
