Close finish in the Pikes Peak Road Ascent
Jason Delaney had just enough left to hold off hard-charging Tommy Manning in the inaugural Pikes Peak Road Ascent. Delaney, 31, of Golden, won the 11.6-mile race - which finished at 11,425 feet - with a time of 1 hour, 21 minutes, 43.5 seconds. Manning cross the finish about four seconds later.
