The past week has included some good training days. In the past 7 days, I have worked out for 5 of them. That is great news, even though it has not included any running. I have used the stationary bike and a couple versions of elliptical machines. In addition, I lifted 3 times!!
I am excited about my opportunity to run the Pikes Peak Marathon and I am going to do everything I can to ensure that I can finish and stay healthy.
An interesting part about cross training is the lack of personal interaction, with anyone. When you workout in a gym, people usually try to avoid eye contact. The weirdest times are when you are on a machine that is directly across from another one. I truly don't understand why people pick a machine that is across from someone, when similar machines are open. I would be lying if I said I didn't have my favorite machines, so I guess I understand after all.
I miss seeing you all out on the trail, but if I am smart and patient...I will see you soon!
