Tommy Manning, the Fountain Valley High School teacher and coach from Colorado Springs, placed 127th in the Boston Marathon on Monday. Manning posted a time of 2:35:57.
He had entered the race with hopes of finishing in the Top 25 after a 34th-place finish (2:25:57) in 2009.
Golden's Jason Delaney finished 20th in 2:19:17 to lead all Colorado runners. John Nichols (Denver) wa s78th in 2:30:19. Peter Vail of Boulder was 81st in 2:30:36, followed by Gregory Castro of Boulder (121, 2:34:52.)
Jeanne Cooper of Eagle was the top woman from Colorado. She covered the distance in 2:45:20 to place 28th among all women and 267 overall.
