About

Tim Bergsten created this Ning Network.

So as I mentioned in my last blog post I went home for a few days, got some much needed rest and relaxation, and visited with friends and family.

While I was home I did not run on the beach as I previously had mentioned. But I did get to go surfing, which is one of my favorite things to do, and one of things I really miss about home during the summertime.

When it comes to my workouts, I enjoy changing up my fitness routines. In fact, I like to switch them up almost every week. So instead of running at sea level, I went surfing and got a full body workout; nothing beats a good workout with salt air and warm sunshine.

However, now that I am back in Colorado my workouts change, but in a slightly different way. I run about three days a week and then do cross training workouts about two to three days a week at the National Strengthen and Conditioning Association. That’s where I workout with trainers and incorporate a lot of different weight and body exercises to strengthen my core, legs and upper body. Which will hopefully help me for the epic Pikes Peak Ascent Race in August.

So for now, I will be increasing my running mileage and looking forward to my next run!
