Army Capt. Kelly Calway of Manitou Springs took a run around the Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. on Monday.
She placed fourth in the Army Ten-Miler on Sunday, finishing in 56 minutes, 39 seconds, a personal best by 50 seconds. She was also the first U.S. servicewoman to cross the finish line. There were 21,912 finishers who galloped through the streets of the nation's capital.
