About

Tim Bergsten created this Ning Network.

Dimity McDowell (right), co-author of "Run Like A Mother: How to Get Moving—and Not Lose Your Job, Family, or Sanity," and Pikes Peak Library District board member Katherine Spicer, set up shop at the ZOOMA Expo to sell McDowell's book. A freelance writer, McDowell said the idea for the book (co-written with Sara Bowen Shea) came to her in 2007 while on assignment for Runner's World magazine.
"We found this amazing community of active moms out there getting it done," she said.
The writing is fresh and fun and easy to read.
"Unlike other books about running, there is no technical advice or tips from other runners," McDowell said. "It's mostly stories from other moms. It's kind of chatty."
