The XTERRA trail races at Cheyenne Mountain State Park saw a big jump in participation this year as some 370 runners took on the park's famous singletrack.
In the 5K, Colorado Springs Simon Gutierrez (24:12) and Donna Garcia (32:28) took the wins. Boulder's Roberto Mandje (46:48.5) and Jenni Leppert (Colorado Springs, 52:48.3) won the 12K. In the 24K race, 43-year-old Brad Senge (Boulder, 1:34:13.4) and Shelley Nelson (Denver, 1:57:28) claimed the wins.
