Laura Thweatt (Boulder Track Club) captured the women's title in the USA Track and Field Colorado Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs. Thweatt clocked 20 minutes, 45.7 seconds on the mostly flat 6K course.
It wasn't an easy win for Thweatt as teammate Ellie Keyser chased her to the finish line to place second, about three seconds behind in 20:48.4. Brianne Nelson (Boulder Running Company/Adidas) placed third in 21:22.
