The Winter Series III races offered everything except the winter on Saturday El Pomar Youth Sports Park. Runners enjoyed temperatures in the 60s as they galloped along a 10-mile out-and-back route on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.
Alistair Eeckman, 20, of Colorado Springs took the win in in the 10-mile race 57 minutes, 35 seconds. Matthieu Caldwell (22, Colorado Springs) was second in 1:00:58. Sam Welch (24, Colorado Springs) placed third with a time of 1:01:40.
Stephanie Wurtz, 32, of Manitou Springs, a former overall winner of the Winter Series, captured the win in women's 10-miler in 1:07:11. Crystal Goecker (36, Colorado Springs) was a minute behind in second, followed by Kieren Toth (31, Colorado Springs) in 1:09:51.
In the 5-mile race, Luke Dakin beat the field with a time of 27:06. Pete Maksimow, 36, Manitou Springs, and Simon Gutierrez, 48, Colorado Spring, hit the finish with identical times of 27:37.
In the women's 5K, Ali Christoph (29, Colorado Springs) dashed to the win in 34:13, with Paulette Painter (46, Colorado Springs, 35:21) and Donna Garcia-Gutierrez (41, Colorado Springs, 36:15) following.
The Winter Series finale is set for Feb. 28 at Wolford Elementary School in the Black Forest.

Is there any way to order or view a copy of the pictures that are not posted? I noticed about the back half of the 5 mile race are not included in the pictures. I am keeping a photo journal, and would love to get a copy of one of the photos.
