Chapter 2 in the Winter Series Ice Capades saw Peter Maksimow race to the win over a slick course at Bear Creek Park. Maksimow (36, Manitou Springs) won with a time of 23:13, just a second ahead of his Team Colorado teammate Simon Gutierrez (48, Colorado Springs). Tanner Norman (15, Colorado Springs) finished third in 23:41.
In the women's race, 17-year-old Lexi Harrison of Woodland Park took the win in 28:59, about a minute up on Ali Christoph (29, Colorado Springs). Paulette Painter placed third in 30:41.
