The distance from Colorado's northern to southern borders is about 280 miles. Jack Quinn's runners Lauren Johnson and Amy Baston have run that far - plus 40 miles - with the club. On Tuesday they joined Quinn's royalty, earning their 100-run shirts.
With more daylight and slightly warmer temperatures, the Colorado Springs running community is beginning to arrive in mass at Jack Quinn's. A steady stream of runners flowed around the 5K course beginning at about 5 p.m. It didn't stop until about 7.
Sean Logan of Reebok stopped in for the first time and offered up some new shoes for runner's to test drive. Logan is visiting from California. He was impressed by the scene at Quinn's.
"This is amazing," Logan said. "I haven't seen this kind of turnout for a running club in forever."
