Timmy Parr of Gunnison and Colorado Springs runner Angie Martell claimed victories Sunday in the first Hellacious Trail Challenge in Palmer Park. Overall results and race times will be available on Monday. Boulder Running Company Runner Tommy Neal and Amber Tong, who raced for the Colorado Running Company, placed second in the men's and women's races respectively.
The new race was a smashing success with the runners. The course included about 9.2 miles or rolling singletrack trail, with some technical bolder hopping in places.
"I love this course," Martell said. "I might come back and do it agin just for the heck of it."
