Rocking with some special racers in the Pikes Peak Pedal 500
The Therapeutic Recreation Community Partners hosted the Pikes Peak Pedal 500 for disabled riders on Saturday at University Village Colorado.
Teams of four, including disabled and able-bodied riders competed in a race modeled after the Little 500 bike race at the University of Indiana.
There was some mighty fast riding and smiles all around.
The event was a fundraiser for the Therapeutic Recreation Program of Colorado Springs.
Thank you Tim for coming out to cover this fun event. The organizers worked really hard to put together a fun, safe and encouraging event and in my humble opinion, they hit it out of the park. Next year, I would love to see more of the community come out to share in the joy that this group brings to everything they do.
