Runners in the Reach Your Peak 5K enjoyed a beautiful morning on the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. The event was a fundraiser for the Junior League in Colorado Springs. There was no official timing. The Junior League provides training and volunteer opportunities to women of all ages, while tackling community projects. In Colorado Springs, the Junior League has been instrumental in the creation of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the Ronald McDonald House, which provides lodging for families of ill children being treated at local hospitals.
