Colorado Running Company/Inov-8 runner Alex Nichols, 26, of Colorado Springs, wrapped up the Pikes Peak Road Runners' Fall Series with a win in the series finale Sunday in Palmer Park. Nichols covered the technical 7.5-mile trail run in 47 minutes, 48 seconds. Regina Hammond, 37, of Colorado Springs, placed second in the women's race to capture the series title. The Colorado Running Company's Amanda Ewing won two of the four races, including the finale (1:02:17), but missed the first race and was not included in the final series standings.
