The PikesPeakSports.us Triple Crown Runners Race Team .. aka Purple and Gold Nation, donned the team colors for the first time on Thursday in the Garden of the Gods.
The team includes runners of various abilities who will write blogs about their experience training for and running in the Triple Crown of Running Races.

Photo night in the Garden of the Gods has become a fun tradition. After a few pics, the team heads for pizza and beer, compliments of Ron Ilgen, President of Pikes Peak Marathon, Inc.
We have to send our well wishes to team member Mary Baldwin who crashed on the trail and collected a shining, red gravity tattoo on her backside. It really was a badge of honor for a PikesPeakSports.us Triple Crown Runner. She was happy to show everybody and we have photographic evidence. We chose well in selecting Mary to the team.
