Drew Stimson turned in the fastest time in the monthly Nielson Challenge 2-mile run on Saturday in Monumnet Valley Park Stimson clocked 11:13. Kayli Tabares was the fastest among the women in 13:08.
The Nielson Challenge is a handicap race, with each runner receiving a handicap time.
Though runners are given an overall time, such as Stimson's above. The winners of the Nielson Challenge are those who improve the most vs. their handicap time.
Though Stimson and Tabares were the fastest overall on Saturday, Joel Holton won the race because he beat his handicap time by 4:17.27, the best margin the race.
