Jack Quinn's Running Club adds four 'Century' runners
Four runners from the Jack Quinn's Running Club family proved that persistence pays off.
Deana Skabo, Heather McWilliams, Brian Bunice and Paul Franco all completed their 100th runs with the club on Tuesday. They earned the coveted black-and-gold, long-sleeved shirt worn only by the club's running royalty.
The cool weather brought out the numbers as 157 ran for the first time and 68 earned their 10-run shirts.
The folks from the Gorilla Run in Denver stopped by to take registrations - which included a gorilla costume. Yeah...think hundreds - maybe thousands of people in gorilla outfits rocking down the road. The race is set for 11 a.m., Oct. 29. Check out http://www.denvergorillarun.com for more info.
And Emily Orbanek from the El Pomar Foundation Empty Stocking Fund stopped by to whip up support for one of Colorado Springs' greatest charitable efforts.
