Gebrekian Abadi of Aurora charged to the win in the Classic 10K in Colorado Springs on Saturday, covering the slightly downhill course in 29 minutes, 33 seconds. Wilson Boit finished second in 29:50, followed by Simon Ndirangu in 31:01.
Elvin Kibet of Colorado Springs won the women's race in 34:35, with Rosie Edwards (36:14) and Katie Sanford (37:28) rounding out the podium.
