It was good to see the cycling community gather at Ascent Cycling on Friday for the Ascent Cycling Series Awards.
Cool story: Andy Bohlmann, race director and head honcho at Sand Creek Sports, lost his wife, Kathleen, earlier this year.
In Kathleen's memory, he created the Kathleen Bohlmann Memorial Award and presented it to Heidi Martin, one of the youngest riders in this year's series.
Heidi will get free entry into the 2015 series and race with the No. 1 number plate.
